Poipu, Kauai has one of the best climates in Hawaii. The temperatures are almost always between mid 70's to low 80's. Occasionally, when the trade winds stop the temperature can rise to high 80's and once or twice in winter, weather fronts from the North can come and lower the temperature to high 60's at night.
There are basically two seasons: the summer months from May to October and the winter months from November to April. Summer average daytime temperature is about 84 deg and winter average daytime temperature is about 78 deg.
At night it is usually about 10 deg lower.
Below are the monthly averages for Lihue Airport. This will give you an idea what the weather in Kauai is like over the year. Poipu weather is drier and sunnier than the north side of the island. When the trade winds are on, occasional showers come and go and you can see rainbows almost every day.

Driving Directions from Lihue Airport:
It is 14 miles to the condo. Take Mokulele Lp. east to SR-570 (Ahukini Rd.).
Continue for just over 1 mile, then turn left onto SR-56 (Kuhio Hwy.). After a half-mile, turn right onto SR-50 (Kaumualii Hwy.) and continue for 6 1/2 miles. Bear left onto SR-520 (Maluhia Rd.) and continue for 5 miles (passing through the tree tunnel and the town of Koloa).
Continue for 2 miles (past the Kiahuna Golf Course bearing right onto Lawai Rd.) to Kuhio Shores (on left).
Parking is free (for one car) in front of the building.
Guests are required to register their car at the front desk to obtain a free parking permit.
